The 44 Rally Islas Canarias will be held without the presence of the public

Following the guidelines of the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, the last appointment of the FIA European Rally Championship to be held in Gran Canaria between November 26 and 28, will not be able to count on spectators in its different special stages.

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has informed the Organizing Committee of the 44 Rally Islas Canarias that the event must be held without the presence of the public in its different special stages. In addition to the tests scheduled for this Monday and Tuesday, in which it had already been announced that the presence of spectators was banned, it has been confirmed that this condition will also be extended to the rest of the development of the event, which will officially begin on Thursday 26 November and will conclude on Saturday 28th.

The organization strongly asks the fans for their understanding and, above all, their collaboration. If the indicated health and safety control conditions are not met, the Race Director, at the request of the competent authority, will suspend the scheduled activity. To guarantee the correct development of this event in each of its areas, the 44 Rally Islas Canarias will have the support of the Guardia Civil, both traffic, rural and public order, as well as local, national and Canary Islands police. Members of civil protection from each of the municipalities will also join, as well as the organization's own marshals.

On the other hand, so that fans are not left without action, the Rally Islas Canarias can be followed on Eurosport, which will issue a complete summary at the end of each leg. In addition, Televisión Canaria will have a special 70-minute program (6:00 p.m.) that will be broadcast the day after the end of the event. But everything does not stay there. Eurosport will broadcast live -via streaming- the previous press conference scheduled for Thursday, in addition to stages 1 and 8 of the first leg and 11 and 17, already on the second and final day. The RFEdeA will do the same with the special Las Palmas de Gran Canaria - DISA, so that fans from anywhere in the world will be able to follow the development of this event that takes place on the island of Gran Canaria from their homes.
