Rally Islas Canarias’ entries, at a good rythm Featured

International teams, national and local ones, are entered in the 43rdedition of the Rally Islas Canarias. FIA European Rally Championship current leaders, Lukasz Habaj and Daniel Dymurski, are on the list with their Skoda Fabia R5.

On April 17th, at 20:00 h local time, will be the deadline to send the entry form in the 43rd Rally Islas Canarias, the second round of the FIA European Rally Championship and the Spanish Rally Championship on tarmac and the new mixed Spanish Superchampionship. More than twenty teams has entered at this time.

The current leaders of the European championship after their victory in Azores, Lukasz Habaj and Daniel Dymurski, with a Skoda Fabia R5, has entered with their focus to defend their first position in the overall. The local hero team, Enrique Cruz-Yeray Mujica has done too, another edition else, with their Porsche 997 GT3 2010. The first team that sent the entry form was the couple formed by Manu Naranjo-Ruperto Ramos, they will repeat driving a Peugeot 208 R2.

Another international teams, like Paulo Nobre-Gabriel Morales (Skoda Fabia R5) and Juan Carlos Alonso-Juan Pablo Monasterolo (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X), from South America, will be in Gran Canaria. Grégoire Munster-Louis Louka (Opel Adam R2), Lars Stugemo-Karl-Olof Lexe (Volkswagen Polo R5), Elias Lundberg-David Arhusiander (Opel Adam R2), Florian Bernardi-Victor Bellotto (Renault Clio R.S. R3T) and Nabila-Tejpar-Max Freeman (Peugeot 208 R2), are some of the teams that has confirmed their participation in Gran Canaria. At the national level, Yeray Lemes-Ariday Bonilla has entered their Hyundai i20 R5.

With less than two weeks to the deadline, the contacts with the Organiser makes to think in a good entrie list. One of this teams will be the current European champions, Alexey Lukyanuk and Alexey Arnautov. The Russians will try to get the fourth victory in a row in Gran Canaria, this time, driving a brand-new Citroën C3 R5.

Very important is going to be the Abarth Rally Cup. This challenge will run with the spectaculars 124 Rally with differents teams from a lot of European countries. A chapter else where the fans will enjoy at the first weekend of May.
