After the recce, turn of the qualifying stage and the shakedown in the program of the Rally Islas Canarias Featured

The teams have completed the recce of all the stages that give shape to the route of this scoring test for the FIA ​​European Rally Championship and the Spanish Championship. The priority teams will interchallenge for the first time, stopwatch in hand, in the qualification section of Ingenio-Telde.

The recces of the stages of the second leg, which will be faced next Saturday May 5th, have assembled much of the sun time of Wednesday of the teams that will participate in the 42nd edition of the Rally Islas Canarias. The more than ninety participants from some twenty countries have thus completed the last procedures before the chronometer imposes its law from Thursday and on.

It will be from 11:48 and on when the teams with priority ERC1, ERC2, ERC3 and RFEdeA will carry out the qualification stage in their new scenario: the 3.43 kilometers special between Ingenio and Telde municipalities, in the east slope of the island of Gran Canaria. Its function will be, besides measuring the forces of the favorites in the main categories for the first time, to determine which team will be able to choose first the starting order of the first stage. To be effective in that search for the best 'chrono', the teams will have the possibility to perform a free practice from nine in the morning and on.

After the qualifying stage which, as a novelty, will take a good part of the agenda on Thursday morning, the shakedown will be celebrated open to the rest of the teams that have been enrolled. It will take place from 13:30 to 15:30. From five in the afternoon and on, Santa Catalina Park will take over with the selection of the order of departure (17:00h), the press conference (17:30h), the autographs signing (17:30h to 18:30h) and, finally, with the starting ceremony that will fill the Santa Catalina Park to the brim. The arc of the beginning and the goal of the race will see each and every one of the teams that will take part in the Rally Islas Canarias pass, the second FIA ​​ERC appointment, third of the CERA and first of the Asphalt Rallies of Islas Canarias Championship.
